Best bolognaise pasta so far and the baked macaroni with cheese, ham and truffles is a must to order! Not to forget, our dessert for the day is San Remo and it is a flour-less cheesecake that blew our feet off. Words can't describe how good it is so get down to Brunetti and fall in love with their wide selection of desserts :) This is our second valentine's together and each year is getting better. We spent the actual day together with lunch at Brunetti before we scoot off for window shopping. We didn't bought any present for one another, instead a half an hour time was given at Ion for us to decide the best present! I think this idea is cool beans. Heh ;P

Hooray folks, its the weeeeekend! ;D I have reward myself with 12 hours of sleep after a mentally exhausting week. Guilty as charged, Sundown in 3 months time and I have left the track for close to 2 weeks. It is time for me to perk myself up and move it on, time is after all too short to be wasted!

Backdated, my weekend was spent with boy at Olive Wine and Titans & Cartier exhibition. The former used to have a stall at Great World food junction and boy, they have a lot of supporters cause the food was really good. The stall was unfortunately close (due to unknown reason) so we have a go at the Marina's Square outlet.

The food was however, disappointing. I am not oblivious to the fact that the cooked pasta have be left on shelf for too long, so it has turned yellowish and hard. Boy's cream sauce for his share was way too diluted. But, the Bundaberg root beer was really different from the norm. It would be great is there's anyone who knows where I can get to stock up my fridge!

The exhibitions were up next and I am so glad that we'd made the choice to go! Besides letting us know the real story of titanic, we also get to see the video on how the artifacts were being re-discovered. Like what I told boy, stepping into this hall is like stepping into a zone of sadness. Through reading the stories of each artifact and of each personnel, its disheartening to know how they have been separated from their loved ones; especially for the men who were left behind as the women got to go onboard the safety raft first. Between people, do check against the name on the "onboard tickets" that will be given to you when you enter the exhibition. There you can mark against the name on the wall filled with all the passengers name, letting us know who survive and who did not. So as boring as Singapore most claimed to be, here is a place for you to utilize your time :)

Ichiban boshi for lunch on Sunday and I had a go at their superb filling set meal. The dessert and cheesecake look sooooooo tempting but my stomach was already protesting :( Somehow I feel that the standard for Jap food at ichiban is falling, next time I shall try the Jap restaurant at Ion which is always found with long queues!

Underworld Awakening was next but through the hour interval we went for a bowling session at Super Bowl. My camera went dead after being left on for an hour plus which makes me consider getting a back up battery. $120, yes or neh? Investing in DSLR next!

Underworld awakening really lives up to the poor reviews on the net. The whole story serves for only one purpose- underworld 5 will be up next. Dinner was satisfied with lots of random food; xiao ba wang crispy chicken, curry puffs, best fries forever, chirpy beer and battered fish... Yes it was that sinful but they are the best company for movie at home!

Sunday always pass too fast but it is always the coming weekends that make me look forward to. I do love the idea of skipping past weekday and just look at the company weekends. It help my mood :D Cheers!

Caught Jack and Jill just now and it was really hilarious yet heart warming at the same time. It taught me how we shall open our eyes to the inner beauty of a person instead of focusing on their flaws. Simple logic yet frequently neglected by most.

Finally finally finally had my dinner at Javier's after the show.

Thank God we reach pretty early. By the time we were done with the chicken, the queue went insanely long. Javier is a salad bar but they do have main courses like roast chicken and steak. My set was a quarter chicken that cost $8.90 and it comes with 2 sides. Alternatively, you may choose to top up $3.90 to have a go at their salad bar; it is a buffet of hot and cold dishes that you can pile up onto your plate as long as it doesn't fall but you can only have a go at it one time. Located at the basement of Cineleisure, I doubt anyone can miss it :) If you have a small appetite, opt for a half chicken and top up $3.90 for the salad bar and it is good to be shared between 2 person. For girls on diet, you can straight away head for the $8.90 salad plate that lets you have a go at the salad bar only.

My Saturday was pretty short cause I slept the whole morning away, guess I was very tired after the event yesterday. A short getaway will do the trick of recharging my body, but now I shall make do with the 12 hours of sleep time :D

P/S I have a series of plans up my sleeve but I am so skeptical about executing them because I am so indecisive!

PP/S I should really really stop being so lazy and get my camera out of the bag before it collects dust!

Thirty one days

Dear January, you have pass a little bit too fast.

It has come to a stage of catching hold of every second and making sure that I can answer to myself at the end of 2012, that is creeping me at how fast time can fly. Keeping up with my resolutions is a tiring job but I am glad to pick up this habit.

To date, I have been controlling my food intake with calories count app and my snacking habit in the office. There are definitely times when I will play a cheat or two, especially when January is the month for CNY. At least, I managed to shed a kilo in this month :D Part of the kilo loss is of course thanks to my running plan. This month I have been clocking 2.4km at least two times a week. The only time that I slack off was during CNY but it is a legitimate excuse. Heh. So coming month I shall move it up to 3.5km with intervals of 2.4km. Hope I increase my weight loss per month! Insurance checked but there are still some procedures to complete and for expenses wise, I am proud to say that I managed to keep it well contained :)

Work has taken itself to a whole new level after my confirmation. I can only say Welcome to the real working world hun! There's 3 months of honey moon period for me when praises were sang and freedom was betroth. My confirmation came without a single glitch and the promises given before the contract was kept and fulfilled. But now there comes the hard part, more work! Though I got to say time spent will be more fulfilling ;)

A day ago I just pop two pills for my fever and two spoonful of pi pa gao for my sore throat and today another two pills for my running nose... So when will the sick bug attack ever end? Plans for the weekend was thwarted. I spend a whole Saturday sleeping and Sunday was dinner with fam. In a flash of light, I am going back to work tomorrow. I need some me time and boy and I haven't been doing much, let alone myself spending quality time with my friends. On top of all these guilts, I have been missing 2 tuition lessons. Yet today I learn about commitment and I find it true to the heart. Certain decisions have to be made and I really am in need of some me time to set my thoughts clear. Definitely not with the groggy head of mine now but in near time soon. P/S Its the end of January and I can't wait to do a mini review on my 2012 resolutions :D

HELLOYAAAAA people! How's your CNY? I think I have gain quite a bit in terms of weight but this festive isn't about missing out those feasting! Its been a four days break filled with gatherings, food and my long awaited rest and the remaining week is going to be a great-recharged and short week :D

First two ang bao from the company and GM :D

Gave boy a treat at his favorite dinner place on Friday.. This week have been long and tiring for the both of us so a great dinner to seal off the week will do us justice :)

Instead of the normal fish head and kang kong we had, we changed our frequents to red tom yun seafood soup and two mains. The price paid for was approximately $50 for 2 mains, 1 side and 1 dessert, a tad too pricey.

Red tom yum seafood soup - $7.90

Egg noodle with crab meat and bacon- $9.90

Prawn spaghetti in coconut sauce- $12.90

Red tom yum seafood portion was too small for the price paid and the seafood wasn't fresh. For my share of egg noodles, I am kinda disappointed with their crab meat and bacon- both were too dry to my liking. As for boy's share of spaghetti, besides the fact that coconut base adds way too much calories, I pretty much like the flavor and the fresh prawns.

Bangkok Jam is always jam during peak period. They are kinda popular with the foreigners and group of families. Ambience is pretty good for dinner but the con of being seated at a corner is that the waiter/waitress tends to neglect you the most so of course I won't like the way I have to pay for service charge. When we call for their attention, we have to wait quite a fair while before someone gets to us.

For our dinner closure, we have a go at their banana tempura which looks very tempting in their menu!

Banana Tempura- $9.80

When the food arrive, we were taken aback by how huge the portion was. 6 banana tempura? There's no way we can stomach everything down. Anyway there was too much flour coated and the vanilla syrup was too strong for our liking. This is a sugar rated dessert and definitely not the ideal option for 2.

As usual, our family would have our reunion dinner a day before the eve. It was service at noon with boy and again I was amazed by what I was taught and received. Nothing beats more than such session spent with boy (: Before that we had a quick lunch at The Asian Kitchen and I will never go back there again. We had a go at their 炸醬面 ($7.90) and chili soft self crab noodles ($14.90). The food was so-so but was overly priced.

Reunion dinner was at 店小二and mummykins was hardworking enough to queue earlier so that we can avoid the dinner crowd :)

Sometimes I really feel so guilty for neglecting my camera but convenience bought by my iPhone apps reigns above all! Because of that I lost the touch for the camera and its really hard to get back the correct angle and mode :x

For the day of CNY eve, I had a very filling lunch with the fam. Dad got burger king for me as breakfast and by the time I am awake its time for lunch? Lol! Then head over to boy's side for their reunion dinner.

初一 of CNY was the same old lovely routine. We had our morning greetings at granny home with my favorite mee sue and logan and red date tea! Pack home for boy and he got a big bowl from mummykins :) Night was house visiting at my aunt's and I always look forward to the big spread of food prepared by her. As everyone grows older, we tend to drift apart. No gambling session nor catch up session, everyone is just having their own time.

I don't like sashimi, in fact I dislike raw food; neither will I eat to satisfy other people happiness nor will I eat for socialization.

Humans in general are opinionated, subjective and they believe what they think to be true. In actual fact, these are the people that know nuts. Your imagination can run wild but never assume. Never think that someone is too stupid or never good enough for you. Different people exist for a reason and it is everyone's existence that make life balance. Same goes for food. Imagine everywhere selling chicken rice and it is the same chicken and same rice. How would that be like?

Ambush and my 2012

Ambush Paella

Every time we set foot into Ambush, we will know that our tummy will leave the place fully satisfied! So far we have been there a total of 3 times, savoring before their battered fish (big pieces of fresh fish), sausage platter (4 different sausages with 2 sauces; heavenly combination), mushroom soup with tasty garlic bread, pork knuckles (meat a tad too hard for our liking), pot mussels (big and juicy) and yesterday we had a go with their in house paella and hamburger steak. Their paella was cooked in thick tomato broth, top up with fresh seafood with big fat juicy scallop and mussels! Boy's hamburger steak was stack on top of a big portabella mushroom, no issues with the steak but we feel that it can do with more sauce since the texture of hamburger steak is dry.

Its been a week into 2012 and here I have finish penning down my resolutions and finding it hard to keep up with them.

Resolution used to be bullshit to me and I only set it because "monkey see monkey do" and there isn't once that I complete my resolutions. Now I see it more like a goal/aim that I want to achieve with a timeframe of 1 year. As a student, getting top grades is one of my top resolution but as I enter into the working society, what can I resolve to obtain?

In a non chronological level of importance, here is what I have set forth to get within 365 days.

Physical and mental health

#1 Shed a good 8 kg ~~and grow taller~~

#2 Lead a healthier life by exercising at least 2 times a week with the aim of clocking a minimum of certain time and distance (good for #1 and #3!)

#3 With all of this, I hope to complete my 10km run within 1 hour

#4 Get rid of my tan lines (HAHAHAHAHA)

Finance

#5 Get my insurance ASAP

#6 To NOT exceed my expenses; I do not believe the idea of forcing myself to save more since it will lead to adverse reaction so all I hope is to be able to maintain my savings which is kinda stagnant.

Relationship and religion

#7 I am still exploring my faith, giving myself a chance to see what is right for me.

#8 Certain rules/goals that we set for ourselves: No eating of the same food at the same place (i.e. try out different dishes!) and #9 to do what Singapore have to offer us instead of complaining "Singapore is boring!" (We came out with this so as to make our life more interesting. LOL!)

Interpersonal relationship and me

#10 I have a very low EQ and I seriously do not know how to get along with humans cause I have very little; close to zero patience. For 2012, I hope to be more patient and increase my level of tolerance. This does not apply to people who try to test my patience or people who are rude or disrespect me, though I will try to love everyone more.

#11 Decrease my frequency of vulgarities (Boy and I set up a rule to fine each other a buck on weekday for scolding each vulgar and three bucks on weekends due to them being God's day.)

#12 Be able to handle politics and not to trust people so easily (which will lead to > trouble)

#13 Portray myself in a different image (not a meanie!)

#14 To be more generous in giving

#15 Be happier even with small conveniences or pleasures (i.e. be more content with what I have instead of fml-ing all the way)

Things I wanted to do

#16 To pick up baking, photography (work on my semi pro and strive to move on to DSLR) and a musical instrument (even if I do not have the time to commit to, I shall at least save to be prepared for 2013),

#17 Travel to at least 3 countries

#18 To do more voluntary work (if possible, missions)

Career

#19 Probation checked so all I hope now is to be a model worker; one whom reach work early and complete her work early/on time if possible and one whom has the initiative to do more and contribute more ideas. To stay in this job till the end of 2012 and when 2013 comes then I shall review.

#20 I have decided to continue to teach my tutee of 2 years and I really wish I can be a better teacher

At the end of 2012, I shall review my resolutions and I hope by then, I will be able to give myself a pat in the back and smile (:

Porridge buffet with Boy at Joaquim Buffet Restaurant after service left our tummy fully satisfied! They offer a wide variety of local porridge accompaniments but there are no free drinks. On top of the food shown in the picture, we add on a huge portion of braised chicken, roast pork, sausage, steam egg plants, yam cake, mee soto, fu rong egg, chunks of cakes and fruits. Their mee soto is really gooooood but we can't stomach more than a bowl :( We had fish porridge (his) and pumpkin porridge (mine) which was way better than I'd imagine; big chunks of fish meat in the porridge and the pumpkin makes the porridge sweet in a nice way!

Click here for more reviews :D Between, we pay a nett price of $13.90 per pax for a Sunday lunch. If I am not wrong, it is a nett $9.80 for weekday lunch and the food provided is different! Definitely worth the price for a good filling lunch!

Where pizza and de sun marks the end of 2011

Right from where I left the post on my reflections for 2011, here's how I spent the last day of my New Year Eve (:

It was supposed to be Peranakan food for lunch at Binjai but it was close by the time we reached. So we have no choice but to have a go at Peperoni Pizzeria!

Located at 7 Binjai Park, it is amidst the rows of bungalows; definitely a great hideout from the bustles and hustles! Peperoni is own by the Les Amis Group which started off with French cuisine. They too own the very popular Canele Patisserie and Aoki. The outlet at Binjai have a bar which line both the interior and the exterior. With red metal chairs and wooden tables, they created the 80's retro style; not forgetting the antiques that adorn the walls that add the final touch to it!

Even cutleries into the metal tin looks cute. That is if I have to put hygiene aside, you won't want to imagine the kind of hands that touched the cutlery :x

Their food range from as low as $5 for starters and all the way to $50 for the mains. One plus point to note: No service charge and GST! Here's a peek into their menu for pasta and pizzas!

Service was swift and the staff was considerate enough to pull a chair for me to have my bag place. They have this kind of chirps in their voice that makes you enjoy talking to them unlike those waitress/waiter that took your order is sucha grumpy way.

By the time we I am done being fickled minded, we were starving like mad. That practically explains the ugly picture that HE had taken for me with much less emphasis on the fact that his photography skills are not yet trained xP

Starter was mushroom soup ($8 each). It is not the typical mushroom soup that I have over at Aston or Soup Spoon. This bowl of fungi contains a kind of fishy seafood taste in it that its so hard for me to decipher whether or not did I order THE mushroom soup or is this the authentic Italiano style?

I am picky at how diluted it is because I absolutely love the thickness of the mushroom soup from Soup Spoon which contains chunks of mushrooms; this is my ideal mushroom soup unlike the one shown in the picture as above!

Guess this two pictures shows how dissatisfied I am with it. Between, only half bowl was managed.

Food was served in less than 15 minutes and being the very fickled minded me especially when my stomach is growling and everything seems soooooo fantastic x10000, we eventually settled for Frutti De Mare ($24) and a large pizza; half Hawaiian and half ham and mushroom ($23)!

As compared to the one I had at Barpizza, Peperoni ain't as generous with their ingredients, especially with the cheese. The one good thing about it is the pizzas from Peperoni is fresh out from the wooden stove, not an oven. So crust wise 100% good but not coupled with thick sauce, cheese and ingredients. Price worth? Nope nope nope!

The Frutti De Mare on the other hand was way better than I had imagine. The sauce was done with thick seafood broth (with just a minor fishy seafood taste in it) but I wish they had been more generous with the sauce. By the time we were done with a slice of pizza, the pasta was pretty much dried up especially towards the end.

Pizza should be eaten using your hands hun, there is no need to be a
gentleman at a place with hardly a single soul!

How I wish they have those thick cheese, like the one we saw on Tv that is hard to be separated?

Pizzas and pasta. The best of both worlds :D

Perhaps I shall drop by one day to try the food introduced by him!

The first day of 2012 was spent at service with boy and I can't remember what we did for the rest of the day. We managed to get to Sentosa on the 2nd for sun tanning session to get rid of the ugly tan lines from standard chartered marathon >.< Here's just a picture splash. There ain't anything that we did beside lying down and let the sun burnt.

Tribal? NO.

I got the towel, he got the mat.

If you ever look close enough you will see a couple behaving real intimately, kissing and hugging in the sea. We even saw the girl's legs over the guy. So please let your imagination run wild! Who knows what they are doing in the sea.

Reflections

31st December 2011. The special part of it marks the end of a year and the start of a new beginning. Hard to phantom but I am trying to shift to a comfortable thinking of putting the past behind and having a fresh start. I do not want the first of each brand new year to be just another day. I want it to be a day where I let go of the sad stuffs, bring forward the happy memories and have a fresh start of what kind of person and what type of life I will evolve to at a brand new year and definitely the new lessons that I will pick up. So for 2011 in a non chronological order and not in any level of importance, here is how it went.

Highlight of 2011

Graduation from University of Stirling with a second upper class Hon

(To date, this is my proudest achievement)

Completing my first standard chartered full marathon

Taking home a Fashionable Lot award from Cozy Cot

Relationships

1 year and 5 months of dating and we are still learning to communicate, growing up together and trying to work the differences out. I can't predict the future and marriage is not on top of my priority list.

Family

Kor is looking for a flat so I assume I will hear the wedding bells sooooon! and lil' princess is growing up to be healthy, pretty, smart and cheeky. She will forever be the apple of my eye (:

Friendships

Friendships wise I have taken things to another level. I do miss my past friends a lot but I have never once regret the decision that I took. The friends left are the ones that I hold my heart dearest to and I wish for nothing but for the friendships to stay on forever. I will try my best and I am expecting them to do so; it takes two hands to clap.

Achieving my goals/aims shall be the centre of my life and I will not be bothered with people who care less about meet ups. Spending effort on friends who don't care is equivalent to wasting my own time and energy.

Career

I got my first job in May and I have already move on to my second job which allows me to learn more and opens me up to more opportunities. Thank God for opening up this door to me.

Finance

Getting a job means I shall start saving. Frankly speaking, I am doing a rather bad job at it but for 2012, this will be one of my top resolutions.

Physical, health and mental

I completed my first full marathon but I am inconsistent in my running days and distance. Body wise I am still very far from a Jessica Alba but for 2012 there will be something I am looking forward to achieve. More on that later.

Goodbye 2011 and Hello 2012. You will be the best year!

Another simple day spent out on Christmas day but without the hitting of towns cause I really hate the squishy squashy part. I'd always fantasize about those gatherings with a feast of saliva drooling food on thanksgiving and christmas. Neither of my friends have done that, probably because of the preparation hassle. All our potlucks always end up with egg mayo/ crab stick sandwich, agar agar, potato salad etc which spells boring. So I was telling Laurel that next time we shall be the host and see how it goes (:

We had lunch as my usual favorite Kuru Kuru Jap but I have heard great reviews at Dozo just situated right above Kuru. So maybe next time I will do a hop!

One thing I love about Kuru is their cosy ambience where you can chill over lunch and not do a quick one. Due to the location, Kuru is hardly crowded so definitely a plus point (:

My usual dose of Curry Pork Cutlet, which is always DA BOOM! Their sauce is soooooo thick and portion is so huge that it is worth the price!

And our usual pork katsu done which is much love by Laurel.

Instead of the soft shell crab that we normally ordered, we have a change to fried bean curd with cheese and cod roe. Taste a bit way too salty cause of the cod roe but it definitely goes very well with plain rice (:

Their usual chawanmushi that blew me away not once, twice but thrice had failed terribly on that day. I couldn't even finish it.

After the lunch we just went back for movies and I fell asleep on the couch, napping my whole evening away. Heh ;P

And I finally try out the combi of croissant with french vanilla ice cream after watching some drama. Slit the middle of the pastry and fill it up with LOTS of vanilla ice cream and it becomes the best desert so far!

I don't really like the croissant that we bought from the bakery so I will explore it with other croissant, hopefully Starbucks :D Or maybe next time I shall bake my own croissant and do my own french vanilla ice creaaaaaaaam! ♥

Christmas has always been mediocre but for 2011, this season is simple yet heartwarming. There isn't any crazy parties or melodramas involved, just a simple day out. The cards that I received from my dearest friends bring me closer to this day (I don't make Christmas out as a big deal) and it do let me know that in this season of joy, I am being remembered.

Christmas eve was spent with Laurel and finally, I satisfied my cravings for Marche's rosti! We had it with German sausage and pork knuckles and this combo never failed to make our lunch sooooooooooooooo sinful yet well love!

Sunburnt knits and wine shoes are my current loves (:

We end it off with blackberry lemonade before going to Cathay for the anticipated MI4. There are way too much positive reviews that it will be a loss to give it a miss! Wanted to visit the darts but it was close. So asses were slack off at the couches in between the waiting time and the free monopoly on iPad really makes it a "good-to-kill-time" game. Anyway, MI4 is really good. It is worth all my popcorns and well spent 2.5 hours in the theaters!

Sour sally after the movie was fabulous! Up till now, my favorites will be Yami, Sour Sally, Yoguru and Swirl Arts. I still hate Frolicks the most; be it the overprice not-so-nice-tasting froyo or their rude stuffs, I will never go there for froyo! And oh, I will always top my froyo up with raisins and oreo crumbs :D

Our initial plan was to countdown at Zouk but the idea of sardine cans turn us off so it was overnight movies that complete my Christmas eve!

These cards were received via post from my dearest friends. If you ever wonder, I love to receive things via post. There is this joy of receiving and tearing up the envelopes that make me happy but technology kills them all! So boyf, remember to send me love letters via post ;P

I don't (literally) hate Mondays. Its just the uncalled for blues in them.

Having to rush through the showers, plaster on my make up, blindly pick my office wear
just so that I can brave through the heavy storm, catch the correct train and not get stuck in the MRT jam again. That time when it took me 30 mins for travel through 4 stops of train station had taught me a hard lesson i.e. any signs for dark clouds, I gotta leave the house immediately!

Between, there's a memorandum being issued for staff to check the weather forecast the day before. Weather is not an excuse/reason for being late =.= I am so gonna get screwed by SMRT!

I enter into my office with my top badly tuck in. NO I didn't bother to tidy myself up because I jolly well know that my blazer will cover up my laziness.

The excitement for Christmas has died down badly, I have no mood for the decos ):

Then I had cup noodles for lunch and stone my whole afternoon away amidst the huge pile of work >.<

6.30pm. FINALLY.

But it took me 30 minutes more to get home than usual because of the train jam again. I seriously hate SMRT. So I fell asleep in the train with 7 songs in my play list replaying non-stop.

There I remembered that I have to torture myself with the queue of the bookshop for the papers that I spoilt yesterday.

The only consolation I had was Shilin's xxxL chicken and sour plum potato fries which turn out suckyy.

Sorry for the nag. After all, its monday blues.

I have always been a huge fan of pizza, making it a must have for stay overs or stay home movies! My take-ins will always be Dominos/Canadian and for dine out, Skinny Pizza and Modestone have been my favorites! :D

Introduce by my bestf for a good change for cheap pizzas and booze, we hopped by Barpazza for a change! It is located along the path of Far East Square, with pretty good surroundings and cosy ambience!

A peep into the menu!

Without the ongoing promo, each alar carte pizza would cost close to 20 bucks. They do serve other finger food and pasta but their pizzas seems way too delicious and tempting!

The lightings on the shop is very dull with flickering fuel candles that make up most of the light.

It is a better place of chillax rather for dinner.

Barpazza is very generous with the ingredients. For the former, nothing can ever go wrong with ham and mushy. For the latter, it is my first time trying out a pizza with pesto sauce and must I say that it is unique. With the roasted almond slices on top of the pizza, it makes it even better!

Each pizza is 12 inches big and we have it accompanied with Hoegaarden, only 9 bucks for a very big pint of it!

With the ongoing promotion, we get to enjoy 50% off our second pizza! So do check out this place before the deal dies down!

After the dinner that sets our tummy bloating, we set off for a walk along boat quay all the way to clark quay for some good night plans :D

Two years ago when I know that jie was pregnant, I was soooooo thrilled and I can't wait for the day the lil' one is born. I was the only night owl in the family so on the night she was on her way to the hospital, she texted me! The thing I first did was to wake up my mum and up till now I can't forget the way she woke with a humongous shock and start calling my aunt. Hahahaha! :D I stay with her till pretty late waiting for my jie news but went to bed since next day I need to work. When I received news that the lil' one is out, I took off from work very early! Excitement really filled up the air (:

Years really flew and here I have put up a college that marks her growth. From the day she was born being push into the room by the nurse, till the day she did her first flip over, finally learning how to sit, her very first studio photoshoot, her first day of school and till now the very cheeky lil' her! If you ever notice, the growth of her hair is very slow =x

It seems that we just celebrated her 1st birthday! :D

But in a blink of my eyes, my lil' princess has grown!

I ordered the cake from Swensen but they do not have the one in Barney design! Neither do they allow customization. Lucky for me, jie has gotten her a Barney shaped cake to celebrate in school :D

Last week just celebrated my 22nd birthday! Geezes... Getting so old!

Chocolate and vanilla cake bought by my parents from Eatzi Gourmet!

My actual birthday falls on a weekday so my colleagues had a mini celebration for me in conjunction with the welcoming of our new director (:

GM bought the team to Furama Hotel for their lunch buffet and I must say that their service and food is good.

Its perched on top of a small hill, down the road of ROM.

Ole had a go with their oysters with raspberry sauce and he gave good compliments for the fusion as well as the freshness.

Pardon my lethargic face, it was after all a hectic day and week for me!

We were really honored to be the first to try out their newly changed menu

and boy, I was surprised at the way they coupled the food as well as the quality of it.

Service needless to say was excellent, very personal in fact!

I had a try with the grilled snapper with apple salad and when I have the fish together with the salad, the combination was way beyond words. Just a pity that the fish on top wasn't washed with much sauce so its a bit dry. The bottom piece soak with the tasty sauce was heavenly tasting!

Ole had their angus beef in medium rare, with the combination of chinese style veg and grilled potatoes with cheese.. Its is like how milk and cereal together, they never go wrong!

Ole bought me my favorite strawberry shortcake as my birthday cake!

On a side note, Ole and I finally had a go at Aoba Hokkiado Ramen at Ion and I was pretty disappointed with the standard of their food.

Our side dishes- Chicken Karrage and the very-tasteless Agedashi tofu.

My order of Yakiniku Pork rice, looks good on the outside but not worth the price for the quality.

Ole ordered their butter and corn ramen and it was sooooo salty! So no way are we going back there again.

Met up with my poly mate for my birthday (no picture), but just to share a foodie place at raffles- Out of the Pan.

It was my second time there and we both had the similar korean BBQ crepe. Out of the Pan is very generous with the fillings and the thickness of the crepes were nicely done.

Best of all, they are having a 1-for-1 promotion from Monday to Friday (All day) for UOB card members. Totally worth the try!

This is an exact version of angry birds but they twitch around. Instead they make use of the green pigs to "shoot", they self create the "blocks" and they use toys like tiger as the aim.

Finally something that reflects the inner words of what I have been thinking hard.

For years in my life, I have been treating everyone around me with a true heart.

Looking at them like my friends that I never wish to lose.

Friends that I want to carry on with through the different phrase in my life.

They meant a lot to me. These are the people that I will put 101% effort in.

Whatever it takes; as long as it is within my mean, I will do my very best in everything they need help in. Making them happy and seeing their smile is the best satisfaction I can ever get.

Friends speak the truth but they never make you feel bad about yourself.

They let you see the facts but they should not let you see only darkness in front of you.

Somehow someday, I put my heart at rest and start to think.

How many people treated me with true heart.

How many people have ever appreciate what I have done.

Anyway my uncle was the one who plan for this brunch! He called everyone of us individually a month plus ago to "book" the date and even give us a call to remind us a week prior to this brunch!

He arrange this little surprise to celebrate my Granny's 83rd Birthday! Seeing all the families gather together, I am pretty sure it brings her a smile (She loves seeing all her grandchildren and great grandchildren!) !

Sis pre-order this cake from Pine Garden.

I will definitely recommend this bakery to everyone out there! I get to know this place through my previous friend's 21st Birthday. Though I didn't order my very own 21st cake from there, I recommend Sis this place for my niece 1st birthday. Glad that everyone loves the cake!

Its such a blessing to have everyone gathered together on this joyous day. I told Joyce (cousin) how ironic it is that many years ago, us; cousins are still gathered together watching tevee or playing games. As time grow, the oldest cousin of us got married; one after another and there we can see all their kids gathered in front of the tevee messing around with the snacks and running around the house.

So we have kids gathered at the tevee, mummys and daddys either looking after their kids or gathered around talking about their kids. My mummy and aunts will be gathered updating their lives. So what's left? The neither here nor there like my brother and his girlfriend, Joys and her boyfriend and Ole and I roaming around the house; sometimes gossiping with the aunts, playing with the kids. Basically, blending everywhere! Oh well. Its still fun! I guess the next time everyone gather will be CNY :D

Finally had my chance along Ann Siang road and was mistaken by someone as someone going for an interview. Strolling along the road is heavenly amidst the peaceful area. Shop houses, rare red mail boxes and more shop houses. Kki (REALLY FINALLY) after so many ravings review and gorgeous pictures that make me salivate after their cakes. SO FINALLY! What can I say. Hmmm. The interesting crust encompassing the rich champagne flavor and wild berries in between the layers of sponge is what make Emily. For the smooth white cheese with bites of melon injected in the middle is the perfect creation of Promage Lemon. As of that day, this place really have to-die-for cakes!

At the same location, we have The Little Drom Store bringing you back to the past with their artsy and vintage toys and stuffs. Then it is more of strolling along the shop houses, visiting URA for the first time. Then ending the day off at Sakae and more Sashimi and Madai at another sushi outlet!

Really rocks my socks when I don't have to hit my bed at the "by-right" timing and ignore the fact that tomorrow is Monday... HOW GREAT! My whole afternoon is spent lazing on the couch (Yes I know again but when you start working, lazing on the couch seems so impossible) with cup noodles and tevee. I know it sounds so mediocre... so life-less. When you hardly get to spend time enjoying the essence of lazing, you will get how I am feeling these days! My finger is still very swell up. Instead it has now 6 disgusting holes that makes my stomach flip and churn out the kind of acid that sends the vomitish feeling up my throat. It looks like I have some kind of disease. EWW. But rest assure (I hope) that it is just some asshole bugs bite. Between, I feel so awed by the fact that for yesterday and today's post which are quite wordy, I type it using my third finger! Its hard but the index finger is so swell up that I can't type. I am trying to figure out a way to clear up the mess in my room, but I gave up after halfway through this noon. I can't find a place for my stuff and I bet all ladies out there, the main problem will always be the wardrobe! Its time to revamp mine with professional work clothes so all shorts and tees they will not see the light so soon. Somehow, someway I will pack the mess!

Pardon my lengthy posts these few days, but it is just so awesome that I can be back to my lil' space typing random stuff that happens in my day! I can just rant and rant and rant and still be happy about it! Hope this week I will be able to get my cammy out and let it see the sunshine, breathe the fresh air and bring this space beautiful photos amidst the words!

I am now lazing on my living room couch with all my gadgets (time checked: 2.05am), being too lazy to move my bum back into my cosy bed. Point to note, my room is still halfway through tidying which makes me more depress to get inside and face the mess. This Saturday morning was spent clearing up my sleep debt (which I don't think I can ever repay back) and after was back to enjoying the korea maggie met bought by tay with a can of sardine mix with egg and tevee. For people like me who have to work on Saturday, such times are greatly missed. Between, I'd changed my job but am intending to dedicate a wordy post to it; so till next time! Caught "I don't now how she does it" by Sarah Jessica Park of Sex & The City with Ole and it was really great catching a few laughs in between. Smuggling Mos Burger in does make the movie more enjoyable (: Then it was eating the horrendous mini cupcakes, slacking at Kopitiam and playing zombie and music games on the gadgets. This is the most relaxing and "well slacked" Saturday I have ever spent!

Anyway I am taking a week break in between the transition of my jobs. So guess I will pretty much plan it. Day 1: SLEEP!

Crepes and Curry!

It was Saybons a day ago and boy was I amazed by their crepes. Though it is still not the best I will say but no doubt it makes a difference to the mundane meal I have any other day!

Located conveniently at the basement of Plaza Sing, I had always wanted to try out their crepes. Months ago Ole and I had a takeaway on their wild mushroom soup and salad. So here I am back again! :D

All in all the crepe wasn't heavenly tasting but for a good $4.50 for it, it would do myself a good change once in a while for my meal (:

Tonight was dinner at Kuru Kuru, a cozy Japanese restaurant at Valley Point.

Kuru Kuru is a new found place for a good yet decently priced Japanese food. This is our second visit there and will not be our last! Kari Ruisu is at 9 bucks and Katsu Don is at 8 bucks. For the portion of these, I will say the food is way too cheap! The soft shell crab is at 8 dollars for 2 palm size crab and chawanmushi is at $2 each. Perhaps next time I will have a go at their buffet! Menu looks way too tempting!

Anyhow, tomorrow is a Monday! So have a great week people! (: Life is too short for non contentment.

Its finally my turn!

All thanks to @SIYAYAYA I got my hands on the Lion King tickets at the Sands Theatre at a discounted price! So I got the C Reserve seats (:

Reach a tad too early so we rest our feet at Cold Rock with "Honey, Lets Be Mine!"

Fusion of Honey Nut ice cream with purple velvet, nuts and mango... They could do with more mango thou'!

Never share a kiddies with him. He can savor it all at once =.=

As the clock ticks, my excitement grew!

After hearing so much excellent reviews about Lion King, I have really been wanting to catch it before it ends in October!

Price stated is discounted so the usual would be $125 (:

Tribal prints at the main screen and side panels greeted us when we enter the theatre. Really gives us a kick start before the show!

Of course A and B would be the best but Reserve C is not very far away from the stage. Decently clear to the eye sight where I can see all the characters and props (not like ants!) But if you are someone who prefer the stage to be closer to you and the music nearer to you (Between, its LIVE singing), get A and B. This musical is REALLY WORTH THE PRICE!

The choreography takes into consideration all the minor details, matched up with the music and live singing. Really got to take my hat off to the great vocal of the singers. You have no idea how strong their vocal is till you hear it yourself!
